Regional MTRAx Training and Suport
MTRAx is a web-based tool developed by the Michigan Department of Education to help schools assess their ability to deliver a state-wide computer based test starting in 2014-15.
As part of a state-wide technology initiative, John Sowash served as the regional coordinator and principle trainer for the Michigan Technology Assessment Tool (MTRAx), part of Michigan’s Technology Readiness Infrastructure Grant. MTRAx is a web-based tool developed by the Michigan Department of Education to help schools assess their ability to deliver a state-wide computer based test starting in 2014-15. The MTRAx rollout was a part of a larger state-wide initiative designed to help schools improve their tech readiness.
John Sowash worked closely with the Greater Michigan Education Consortium to provide training and support to schools across lower Michigan. John held PD sessions across the state, ran virtual training sessions, and provided phone and email support to intermediate and local school districts to assist them in submitting their data to the State department of education prior to the mandated deadline.
