iNACOL Google Workshop
November 9, 2011 | Indianapolis, Indiana
The premier conference for any one interested in online learning is the Virtual School Symposium (VSS) sponsored by the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL). Attendees at the 2011 VSS had the option to attend the Google Workshop for Educators as a full day pre-conference session.
Co-led by John Sowash, Andy Crozier, and Cindy Lane, this Google workshop featured high-energy classroom ideas, tips, and applications for Google products such as Google Docs, Maps, and Moderator as well as an overview of the Google Apps for Education suite.
Participants at the workshop had ample opportunity to explore these tools and to engage in various collaborative activities such as an unexpected tower building competition.
The feedback from the attendees was very positive:
“Thank you for a great and very useful workshop. What I learned today, I will be able to apply right away to my teaching!” – Kara
“You did a very very nice job. Everyone was great and super exciting and engaging. Thank you so much for all your hard work.” -Anonymous
